A viola made by Carlo Carletti of Pieve di Cento (Bologna) for and in collaboration with Romeo Antoniazzi, The instrument is in a particularly fine state of preservation. It comes with the original certificate of Enzo Arassi of Milan. The two-piece maple back is of of medium-narrow curl descending slightly from the center joint. The two-piece spruce table is of wide grain broadening towards the flanks. The varnish is an amber orange color over a pale golden ground. Measurements: Length of Back 406 mm, Upper Bouts 187 mm, Middle Bouts 128 mm, Lower Bouts 234 mm.
