A viola made by Genuzio Carletti, who apprenticed with his uncle Carlo Carletti and won first prize in Cremona for his viola in 1949. The two-piece maple back is of irregular mostly horizontal medium curl. The two-piece spruce table is of fine grain broadening towards the flanks. The varnish is a reddish orange brown color over golden ground. Measurements: Length of Back: 413 mm, Upper Bouts: 180 mm, Middle Bouts: 129 mm, Lower Bouts: 239 mm, String Length: 371 mm.
