A very attractive viola made by Giovanni Pallaver (1908-1986), who was a student of Andrea Bisiach, son of Leandro Bisiach. The two-piece maple back is of medium to faint broad curl ascending from the center joint. The two-piece spruce table is of even fine grain. The varnish is a light orange brown color over a pale yellow ground. Measurements: Length of Back: 411 mm, Upper Bouts: 188 mm, Middle Bouts: 128 mm, Lower Bouts: 242 mm, String Length: 372 mm.
