A viola likely made a member of the Keffer Family of Goisern and Ischl, and possibly by Joannes Keffer, with a later 19th century scroll. The one-piece maple back is of faintly narrow curl ascending very slightly from left to right. The two-piece spruce table is of medium grain with outer wings on the bass & treble sides. The varnish is an orange golden brown color. Measurements: Length of Back: 407 mm, Upper Bouts: 184 mm, Middle Bouts: 129 mm, Lower Bouts: 236 mm, String Length: 358 mm.
