A violin made by Joseph Gagliano of Naples in 1785. A broad model with a relatively flat arch, giving it an unusually strong and deep sound for a Gagliano family violin, The two-piece maple back is of horizontal medium broad curl. The two-piece spruce table is of medium fine grain broadening slightly towards the flanks. The varnish is an orange brown color over a golden ground. Measurements: Length of Back: 361 mm, Upper Bouts: 166 mm, Middle Bouts: 116 mm, Lower Bouts: 206 mm. Certificate by Dario D’Attili.
