Otto A. Hoyer, Violin Bow, c.1925, Markneukirchen

A fine gold-mounted violin bow by Otto A. Hoyer. This flexible bow has an incredibly rich, warm sound, while still retaining clarity. The bow is quite well-balanced, allowing the player to maneuver it with ease in any manner of bowstroke, from the strongest to the lightest. A particularly fine choice for someone hoping to draw a fuller, richer sound from a more reticent instrument. The round stick is of reddish orange-brown colored pernambuco with gold winding. The gold-mounted ebony frog has pearl eyes and silver rings to the sides. The ebony adjuster has a gold sheath. Weight: 58.5gm. In an excellent state of preservation.
