A gold mounted violin bow by W. E. Hill & Sons of London, made after 1904, the work of William Grieve Johnston, stamped: W.E. HILL & SONS; also stamped on the stick under the frog “A”, and stamped on the underslide of the frog “A”; the octagonal stick of reddish-brown pernambuco with a gold tip and original whalebone winding; the ebony frog with pearl eyes and double gold rings to the sides resembling a bulls-eye, set on a full track; the ebony adjuster with a gold band and end cap, and pearl dots inlaid in the center facets of the adjuster; weight 60 grams.
